There is, however, such a thing as bad English. Maybe you should "hire" a professional. Is this guy a journalist or what? Does he have a track record in Press outside of that internship he did when he was 16?
I pay money for newspapers and the Reuters wire service, I expect only the highest quality. It annoys me to see amateurs dragging the standard down and cluttering up the press.
Frankly, I'm amazed that something that badly written (and what I posted is just an example, the whole thing was equally dire) made it onto a wire service. Although to be fair, I've never heard of "eWire", so maybe that tells the story right there.
